CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY

Next Friday 11th December we will be supporting Christmas Jumper Day at Yew Tree.  Children will be allowed to wear their Christmas Jumper instead of their uniform jumper.  We are asking for a £1 donation to do this and the money raised will be shared with the Save The Children charity and The Royal British Legion.  We look forward to seeing the children in their festive jumpers next week.

CHRISTMAS PARTIES

Christmas parties will take place during the last week of term.  This year we will not be asking for parents to send food in for the party, instead, school will supply individual ‘snacks’ for each party.  On the day of their year group, party children can come in non-uniform.  Please think about what you send your child in as they will be wearing it all day, including when they eat their lunch, play outside and whilst playing party games.

Party Dates

Monday 14th – Year 5

Tuesday 15th – Year2 and Year 6

Wednesday 16th – Nursery, Reception, and Year 3

Thursday 17th – Year 1 and Year 4

CHRISTMAS CARDS

Hopefully, you will have received your Christmas card pack from school by now. Please don’t send cards for all the children in your child’s class.   This year please send only one card for the whole class, (this will be displayed in the classroom) preferably the homemade one.

 HOLIDAYS

School will close on Friday 18th December at the usual time, including afterschool club.  School will re-open on Monday 4th January 2021.

BEST WISHES

This may be the last newsletter before the holidays so we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and support during this difficult and unusual year.

We hope that you and your family have a fun and safe Christmas and New Year and fingers crossed that 2021 is a much better year for everyone.
